19 March 2006 - the day I got engaged to my boyfriend of 4 years. 4 years?? Such a long time but it felt so short. I guess time flies when you are having fun. I still remember the day Jan proposed to me two years back. We were in town on a sunny Saturday afternoon, hanging out by the river. He was wearing a black T-shirt, jeans, his favourite beanie and sneakers. Similarly I was wearing jeans and black shirt. His long hair tied up in a ponytail, back then I couldn't imagine what it would feel marrying anyone like that. We stood amidst the filthiest part of town - when suddenly he turned to me and asked - "Kawin ngan I, eh?" I was stunned. i couldn't say a word so he asked again "I tanya ni.. nak kawin ke tak..?" Still stunned, I could only nod my head.

I've had many admirers before and after Jan, but I guess none of them bothered to ASK me properly to marry them. That moment by the river 2 years ago sealed an unofficial agreement, and last sunday it was made official.
