Khai Islands, Phuket.
at last...the thing yg aku memang tunggu2 from the first time i purchased the tix to phuket...time to get wet and wild in the sea!!!!! I'm such a sucker for sun, sea and white sands. I was a bit on the low side the previous day because i hadnt get the chance to swim but voila!! bau je garam laut tuh terus mood gua ok. hehe.
Khai Islands consists of 3 small 'uns - khai nui, khai nai & khai nak. yea i know, i got my head dizzy remembering and identifying the names too. so we hopped la from one island to another. Snorkel session wasnt that bad, hari before kitorang pegi tu it rained quite bad hence the visibility wasnt that awesome. Still, its better than nothing, eh?
i'm not sure yg mana satu nama island yg besar, but i hated the fact that the biggest island had become somekind of a tourist trap. Arrgghhh!!! pesal la nak bukak kedai2 kat situ??? it spoils the island's charm, and it did dampened the mood sket. so i made myself busy swimming with the fishies and not care about the spoils. Nasiib baik la bersih, sampah takde.
Fishies and corals wise, i think our own islands have more spectacular collections. Fishies were abundant, corals macam biasa lah..the usuals like polyps, anemones(nemo!!), staghorns, etc..tapi aku rasa malaysia punya lagi best, according to experience lah. Triggerfish pun byk, cuak jugak la kalau kena attack tapi agaknya depa dah biasa tgk orang kot. Kali ni alhamdulillah takde ikan2 yg keracunan akibat minum darah aku (haha kat Tioman ada ikan bersiung tau lepas minum darah aku), although some of em did got too excited when i handed out breads and silap target pegi gigit kaki bukan peha. menda ntah. sib baik la ikan. kalau manusia aku dah lama terajang. hehe.
but one thing's for sure about the Khai Islands is that the water is absofuckinglutely fantastic!! Emerald green that merges with the deep blue far beyond. And the rock formations!!! i swear it looked like it came out from story books, where mermaids would sing their forelorns hearts out into the pitch black nights, under the stars.
damn it!!!! why the hell did i come back in the first place???
