After almost 30 years in service ,This 1975 , conventional steam fuel/gas fired 300 MW power plant was under demolishing as a part of PD phase II rehabilation project .The demolition already started by March this year & will soon be complete by end of this August...After that the new modern & sofisticated 750MW combine cycle(CC) power plant will be constructured at this zero-ground by Sumitomo Consortium from Japan
Together with already operated 750MW PD phase I power plant,TJPS will be able to supply 750MW + 750 MW =1500MW of electricity to National Grid ;the largest electricity generation power plant for south-west Malaysia .
