This project â?? â??Peace and Warâ?? is essentially a photo editing project in which the author picks out a photo of a subject, put the subject in a specific background and creates another variation of the photo by changing how the background looks. The whole project consists of two parts - the video/slideshow and the website. The background idea is to explore the notion that different backgrounds bring out different moods in photos. The theme is plainly shown by the title itself â?? â??Peace and Warâ??.
This project is also intended to serve as a â??medium of reflectionâ?? where viewers can think back of how good it feels to NOT be in the midst of a war. The author wants to point out that we should value and be thankful for every little peaceful time that we have. However we should not forget the victims of war who are less fortunate, including innocent little kids who might not even understand the situation theyâ??re in.
