I was really lucky to have this trip, za needs replacement since she was 'on call' for an emergency assignment. Thanks za..i hope u get the cards i sent u from this trip. Trip begins at 9 am usual from bressenden place near victoria station. The same trip organizer which i had gone to stonehenge. I was made known that bath was famous for its roman bath area, but i didn't take the pictures cause it was not in my plan. And so it was told, this place was ancient city in the roman period, and was popular for its hot bath, which still preserved until today. The bath was filled with water from the hot springs..really interesting.
Near the roman bath was the abbey which is beautiful as well. I bought a map which serves as walking tour guide as well. So me and liang went walking around 3 hrs around the city. Bath was also known to be the home to the famous Jane Austen, a memorial place was erected as u can see in the pictures. The pultney bridge was built across the river avon. Suprisingly the there was shops on the bridge itself which was common thing in England in the old days. Looks very old as well. The river avon flows over and the view is so beautiful with the trees and the buildings behind it.
There was also a market which is over 700 years old, which is called the guildhall market at the grand parade. A very old market i should say. Anyway we finished at 3.30 pm and went back to London..felt quite nice and wished I could to have another trip there.
