hayati was my housemate/roommate for the past three years. later, when we all moved into the dorms, she becomes my wingmate/floormate. so, after all those dirty dishes and bad cookings that I had to endure (or rather, she had to endure *ehem*) it's only fair that she obliged to my request; be my model for the day.
initially I wanted to shoot her in her most natural element, but the moment I press the trigger button, she'll be as stiff as a frozen stick. like a bad modelling coach, I started to instruct her, to smile a lil' bit wider, to hold that gaze a lil' bit longer and so forth...
but of course, we, the engineering students have that ability to catch up really fast with things that isn't 'engineering-like' so, she started to get a hang of it, and everything just clicked into places (pun intended)
the locations are picked based on its significance to both of us
1-5: this is in front of the engineering building, this is where the subject overcomes her stiffness in front of the camera, this is where a guy silently smiled at the corner, looking over at the two petite girls taking pictures; one modelling, another one sounding like a bad case of a modelling coach.
6-9: this cobbled path is where the two girls usually pass through everytime they are late to class. this is also where the coach found out that her subject can jump really, really high.
10-11: this orangey staircase leads to the office where the two girls work to get money to shop for their moms, and sometimes for themselves too why is it orange? beats me, but it never fails to color my day, each time I pass through it
so, she started to get a hang of it, and everything just clicked into places (pun intended)
