Winnie was my first basset hound. I rescued him from a local shelter when he was 11 months old....and he has changed my life. Because of him I have become active in a basset hound rescue and thru several internet basset sites have made, and visited, basset lovers from all over the country. He's smart, photogenic and loves to hike with me. He's spent most of his life visting nursing homes as a therapy dog. Last summer he was diagnosed with diabetis but so far with insulin he's avoided any complications. He'll be 7 years old on Valentines day and I hope for many happy years together for us
