then, we proceed to the one of the most famous temple. WAT PO. it is also known as wat phra chetuphon, is located behind the splendid temple of the emerald buddha. it's the largest temple in bangkok and famed for its huge and majestic reclining buddha measured 46 meters long and covered in gold leaf. the buddha's feet are 3 metres long and exquisitely decorated in mother-of-pearl illustrations of auspicious characteristics of the buddha.
in my previous trips, there was a traditional thai massage centre within the compound of the temple. and my family and i would have a superb body massage before heading to our destination. it cost us around 120 baht for half an hour or 200 baht per hour.
this time however, we overlooked the centre and left the temple without a massage. my feet was aching and screaming for it. too bad. hopefully there’ll be next time. tee he he he…
our initial plan was to visit the grand palace, located 2 blocks away from wat po. unfortunately, it was pass iman’s nap time. he was grumpy and started crying for sleep and milk. when my son is grumpy, i became grumpier. so we decided to return to the hotel and skip the grand palace.
so, we hopped on a meter taxi that costs us 150 baht. iman fell asleep on the way back. the moment we reach the hotel, i didn’t wait any minute and jump into the bathtub and soak my self in warm water. then i prepare hot water and rest my aching feet in it for 30 minutes. i was really looking forward to a foot massage!!!
