Discover Borneo: Day 1- The Tip of Borneo
Yeayyy year 2008 begins with a great holiday to the land of Borneo. There were 6 of us; me, jijan, along (fikri), angah (munie), husna (along's girlfriend) and amin (husna's brother). We plan to backpack to almost all districts in Sabah for 9 days.

We left KL early in the morning of Feb 2nd via AirAsia flight direct to K.K. Thanks to AirAsia, now everyone can fly . Husna and Amin fetched us at the airport (they arrived there one day earlier). We rented 2 kancil cars, got a very reasonable price through Husna's connection. Proceed to Kudat, a district at the northernmost part of Sabah, almost 190 kilometers from K.K. Imagine the fun drive

It's a very remote yet interesting place as it faces the South China Sea on the west, and Sulu Sea on the east. On the way, we stopped by at Kg Bavanggazo to visit Rungus Panjang Longhouse. Next, we went to Simpang Mengayau, a place where these 2 seas meet (kalau ikut peta dkt hujung telinga tu la) thus the name Tip Of Borneo. You can actually literally stands at the end of that ear

The place is very beautiful, breezing and undisturbed, makes you feel so calm. Makes me feel like laying down and sleep. Mcm nak nangis beb tengok keindahan ciptaan Allah. A must place to go! There's also a breathtaking view of Pantai Kalampunian, the white-sand beach along Simpang Mengayau. Sampai terasa mcm lepas nie dah tak nak pergi PD hehehe...

*All the pictures in this Borneo trip are taken by various cameras, including Along's Nikon D80. Check out his wonderful snaps at --> http://www.flickr.com/photos/4longz/
