We spend the CNY break at Clark & Subic Philippine. It was an enjoyable trip, far better beyond expectation. Plus we get the best possible price for both flights & hotels. Here are the anecdotes (please excuse my grammar & sentences);
1st day:
We arrived at Clark 45 minutes earlier than planned & spend the afternoon at Hot Air Balloon International Fiesta (something like LIMA in Malaysia).
Then we went to Subic Bay, which was about 2 hours-drive from Clark (we rented Vios 1.3 for 2 days.) We spent 2 nights in Johan Beach Resort with a sea-view room (the view was fantastic!)
2nd day:
We went to Ocean Adventure at about 10 a.m. It was fun watching the stunts of the witty baby sharks, sea lions & dolphin (they got whale too!). After lunch, we went to Joe Jungle, a theme park, quite an interesting place for the kids though. Rafiq watched his 1st movie in the cinema here. Later in the afternoon, we went to do a ‘very little’ shopping in Subic Tax Free Zone (since most of the items were priced in USD!). It was raining, so we could not spend time at the beach.
3rd day:
Luckily the whether was good! Rafiq spent almost an hour, basking under the sun and get himself all wet in the sea! We check-out & went to Clark. Check-in at ABC hotel & got Room No. 123 (quite a coincidence: ABC-123). Went shopping all out at SM Clark (luckily there were many choices especially for kids clothing plus the price was quite cheaper compared to KL). Went back to hotel when we were too tired to walk and indulge ourselves in the room’s Jacuzzi! (As usual, Rafiq was the most excited one!)
4th day:
Another round of Jacuzzi for Rafiq (sorry dear, the Jacuzzi is too big for our home!). Check out after breakfast & off to the airport. The flight was punctual & we arrived KL 30 minutes earlier! Back to our home sweet home about an hour later, eagerly looking for another holiday, the only question is, can we afford one?
