From my previous visits to KLCC, I didn't manage to pay a visit to the
As Syakirin Mosque in the vicinity of KLCC, so it was really a blessing to step into this beautiful mosque placed at the other end of the vast KLCC Park to perform the Subuh prayer. With the aid of direction from a helpful cleaner lady from the KLCC train station, who was initially bemused when asked where the As Syakirin Mosque,
"Kak, masjid As Syakirin kat mana?" I inquired.
"Apa dia?" she replied with a tinge of confusion in her voice.
"Masjid KLCC?" I repeated.
"Oh!!! Haa.. kluar sini. Jalan terus. Jumpa Isetan. Jalan terus." she answered with a smile.
"Terima kasih yer."

A direct line of sight to the soaring
KL Tower from the view of the hotel. Though the lonely KL Tower was constructed much earlier than the 'twin brothers', I found it quite surprising that I hadn't get the chance to visit it. Maybe next time Insya-Allah.

I came all the way to KL for this. Not as much as riding it but to immortalise it as a picture before it stops spinning at the end of the year or so I thought. After seeing all the beautiful images of the Eye On Malaysia in the fotopages of others, the EOM became the focal point of my visit. But it was really a long and arduous walk from the Titiwangsa train station and the lack of signage to the EOM didn't help. But the sight of the lit-up structure against the ultramarine sky lighted up the weary countenances. And for the ride itself, I literally froze in my seat as I'm an acrophobic. Enough said.

But to those who plan of visiting the EOM, the deadline of its closure has been extended to the next Merdeka Day in 2008. Lucky you. Or you might want to give the Singapore Flyer @
