Selamat Berpuasa
I just got back to KL after spending the week end in my hometown Kuantan. Brought the family to the beach by Taman Gelora to pass time before berbuka, went to Tanjung Api for some kuehs.

My father invited the relatives to the berbuka dinner but no photos was taken eventhough there were also Red and Ikelah. Probably sebab lapar sangat, lupa semua kamera.

It also coincided with a photo talk lesson organised by FMDC Kuantan in UIA Kuantan. Quite a number of KL FMDC members joined including myself. I didn't participate actively in the photo class but did attend although at the end session. I attended the 10 pm TT at Jelita. The service there was quite fast but the boss/owner should attend some customer service training or at least a short course on smiling. And thanks to dR Ali, the next day we had a great time shooting baby turtles at the Cherating turtle sanctuary.

#1: Taman Gelora is just 5 minutes walk from my parents house. 25 - 30 years ago we the children of that era called it Taman Tasik. Even the people of Kuantan mostly have no knowledgeof it's existance. It was my sanctuary and hide out then. It only became known when ITM opened a brance there which was later taken over by IKIP. With time many things changed. It got cleaner now but crowded as well.
I brought my family there last week end to see what's on. Me and 2 kids walked in front and the rest were crawling behind. Soo, after some time the crawlers got left behind and we waited for a while for them to catch up.

#2: The others finally arrived.

#3: A thick rope dangling from a branch can attract a kids very easily. You don't have to teach them what to do with it. They teach you.

#4: Children loves to immitate creatures. Mostly T Rex but for now it's monkey.

#5: I'm the fairest and the feminine of them girls. I got style got class osso. Piiiirah.

#6:Manja Abah. I don't walk yet but I can climb.

#7:Tanjung Api. This used to be the poverty area of Kuantan. Old collapsing houses on rotting stilts have made way to much better much bigger concrete houses. Good to know my neighbours in Tanjung Api daily complaints now is only about lack of income to pay this and that. Before it was about NO rice for the next meal. I used to take a bot penambang from here to Tanjung Lumpur. In those days, there were no bridge to Tg Lumpur.

#8:Now they have money. Only it's not enough. That's my complaints too. Actually it can be enough if we shorten the list of necessary things.

#9: Buai Laju Laju while waiting for the Turtles.

#10: And Buai Ramai Ramai. With Maman, Ikelah's youngest son.

#11: First Hello Shot of a Baby Turtle in the hands of my son Emir.

#12 : Another shot.

#13: Turtles are seriously an endangered species in Malaysia. As the slogan says: "If the buying stops, the killings will too". Their life is already so much upside down. So let's not buy turtle eggs and help discourage others from buying as well. Let's just shoot them instead. With cameras.

#14: The shooters in action. FMDC team. Thanks and congratulations to the Pahang FMDC for the arrangement and to Perikanan Pahang for making it happen.
Hopefully our photos will create more awareness.

#15: I got so much help so much attention but my journey is still long. As you are, I'm created for a beautiful purpose. Stay by me and protect me...as you wish God will stay by you and protect you.

#16: From Mom, I'll learn to protect and care for others.

#17:From Dad, learn how to shoot images and auta Mom.

#18: From my sisters, I'll learn how to sing out loud and perform the best shamelessly even if I only have a plastic bottle as my best tool.

#19: If everybody is too busy or what, I go to my aunties and uncles.
