for the 1st time, i celebrated our 50th national independece away from national soil, at the malaysian embassy in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. From what i heard about 3000++ malaysian citizens ( and some non-citizens) gathered on saturday morning, that came from all around U.A.E, esp abu dhabi n dubai!!! and the management of malaysian embassy only budgeted around 1000++ people!!
we came a bit late that morning, after getting lost searching for the place (after someone forgot to bring the map and another one pandai2 jer bagi direction eventhough baru jer jejak kaki kat dubai selama 2 minggu!! ), hence our arrival, the nasi lemak that we were all hoping n craving for was already finished!! alas after 10-20 minutes of waiting, other dishes came and were finished just as it landed on the table. HAHAHA!!
Cant wait for the next gathering this 8th of september!! theres going to be 50 dishes!! yahoo!!
