The East Coast
What a trip we had last week!!! wonderful... we spent 2 days in Seremban (Faiz had a briefing back in KL), then we headed to K.Terengganu on Friday night. The plan was to stay 4 days in Terengganu and on Sunday, to go to Jery's wedding in K. Krai (K'tan). My folks joined the trip but they came by AirAsia on Sat nite. Btw, Terengganu is my dad's hometown, so the trip was really meant for the newcomers in the family (Faiz and Danish) to visit our relatives back there for the first time. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately, Faiz had to go to a forum in Malacca on Tuesday, hence the trip had to be cut short. We didn't even go to Jery's wedding eventhough that was the real reason for coming to the East coast. We just visited him the day prior before my folks arrived. We saw Kak Has at Seri Malaysia (she worked there) where we stayed. Went to Kak Ton's and Pak Lang's house. We managed to drop by the enormous state museum (really awesome architecture, but got really tired at the end walking in there), went to Losong to get some Keropok and tasted the real and original Nasi Dagang (it's really different and more delicious compared to those i had outside of T'ganu). On our way to Malacca, we used the same coastal road my family had used time and time again in the past, but this time was totally different. For the first time we drove on the road during the day. Guess what?? I for the first time got to appreciate that road. My goodness, it was really an incredible scenery. you could really see the ocean from the road. All these while, it was always dark i missed the whole thing! Then we decided to get to one of the beaches. We went to one of the small roads that goes to Tanjung Jara, we got to this long stretch of road which just next to it was the sea and the sandy beach. there were not a lot of trees so our view were never obstructed from looking at the horizon. The waves were quite strong, they weren't the same as the ones in West coast. The way they hit the beach, it was really spectacular. It's like surfer's paradise. What makes it really special, at the time we got there, there were only a few people there. The place was like a secret beach. really cool!!! what a nice way to end the trip.
