My friends are saying that Venice is sinking and soon will be gone. If its true then its gonna be a pity, no other city moves around with canals everywhere like here. Even the garbage collecting truck comes on a boat!
From our hotel in Milan, we have to change 2trains to centrale station and from there bought another ticket straight to Venezia. The temperature is minus 3deg when we arrived, but its now or never.. so I told myself to keep on going. Well, it has to be really unfortunate that our train was stuck on the railway for close to 3hours. So happen that there're some problem with one of the major tracks, so we had to make a big turn using the other way. Darn, yes. The journey was delayed from 2.45 to 6 miserable hours whining on the train!
Finally reached Venezia around 10pm, freezing cold + hungry and everybody is worn out, we need to find a place to crash for the night. There's 10 of us and seems like only one place is available that late, we agreed & paid 25euros each (approx. sgd50) for a 10bed apartment with shared bathrooms. Disebabkan oleh perut yg sangat lapar, we ran across the streets everywhere to look for food. Luckily there's few stalls that still open til late, I grabbed a lamb kebab & a slice of pizza margherita for myself.
The day starts as early as 8.30 the nex morning. Berbekalkan semangat yg berkobar-kobar, kami pun mencari port untuk bersarapan dulu. This explains the familiar McD pics u saw here Not much choice cuz mainly shops are not open yet.

Spent new year in Milan, dinner was miserable. Other than the new aircraft and CTS onboard, the rest is beautiful. Memorable as it sounds, sadly beau wasn't there to witness them with me.
