Many scenes of the Korean Drama Winter Sonata (“Gyeoul Yeonga” - Autumn in my Heart) were shot in this island. Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. A leisurely walk around the island will take approximately 2~3 hours. Bicycles can be rented at the administrative office located near the center of the island. Summer tourists can enjoy boating around the island, but fall is certainly the loveliest time of year here.
