This year Alliya celebrated Eid-ul fitr or Hari Raya Aidil Fitri first in Penang (her mom's side) and later in Pahang (her dad's side). This year she really enjoyed and probably understood the true meaning of Eid-ul fitr or some of us used to call it Hari Raya Puasa i.e. fasting Hari Raya.
For the first time we allowed her to continue fasting for the whole day and infact the whole month without fail. No promises of incentives and yet she insisted and enjoyed doing it. The part she loves most is the 'bersahur' surprise..surprise.. because all these while she's not a morning person. The hardest part she said is not able to drink or in other word 'being thirsty'.. even the sight of aquarium water seem cool and delicious to her.
During the first few days of Ramadhan.. there would still be a half full bottle of mineral water and a few pieces of biscuits in her school bag. But all were taken away once Alliya was showing no sign of fatigue or such.
Alliya didn't care much about getting new clothes.. she's more eager to go back to 'kampung' and spending the eid there. Maybe because this year when everybody asked her this question.."puasa berapa hari?".. she can proudly reply.."puasa penuh.. tak tinggal pun".. Kudos to my beloved daughter!!
