Love Letters & The Price Of Happiness
I have a bunch of love letters from my husband tucked away in a box. Every once in a while I pull them out and brighten up my day. My kids leave me little love letters too. Well, not in the same way, but I am sure they write them with loving intentions. We also have lots of chalkboards in the house. I put them on the kids doors to give them reminders of chores, homework, important dates etc. They immediately clean them off and instead leave me notes. Well, not Mr Bobo. He just drew a pumpkin on his. This week's letters consisted of

a) Letter Max wrote in school about his summer

I went to the park
I saw the airshow
I went to the ex
I went to my friends cottage
I went to my cottage
I saw my grandma and granpa

Makes you wonder why we spent all that money on his camps when they just never entered his radar.

b) His letter to santa is also a winner....

Dear Santa,

Nintendo PS (i think he has one already!)
Star Wars Lego
Silly Putty
Bord Games
Game Cube Cord
Tank you ho ho ho

I love that his Santa lists are so short. Myself, I remember doing elaborate collages on bristol board with photos I had cut out from the Sears and Canadian Tire catalogue. Perhaps I will do another one this year to ensure Doug does not buy me the crockpot shaped like a football.

And Princess, well she is another story. She left me a very detailed letter with a plethora of gift ideas. Really, her list is just to long to replicate, but suffice to say it is very thorough with sizes, store addresses and designer labels. Oh, not to mention some fancy electronic device that Paris Hilton owns. The icing on the cake was her final tag on her four page note...

Reminder: You can't put a price on happiness.

Profound, isn't it?
