A non-profit annual event in which the old people of elderly home "De Doekenborg" in Nijmegen, are driven around in classic cars. I was asked to participate, so I thought: why not? It's a fantasic day for those people, of which they still talk months later. So the day before I drove to Nijmegen, a middle-size town near the German border, about 150 km from where I live. My parents had a weekend break and stayed in a hotel near Nijmegen, in a region that, because of the hills which are uncommon for Holland, is called "little Switzerland", although the hills are only 300 feet a.s.l. On my way to Nijmegen I found a speed trap on the highway. Because I had the time, I decided to take some picture of this automatic revenue device.
In Nijmegen I made a little tour in the surroundings, and across the border to the "Reichswald" (state forest). The day after, my parents went for a walk and I went to the elderly home. I was number 21, of a total of almost 40 cars. As expected, the old people enjoyed the drive around very much, and the weather was no reason to complain. Although rain was expected, it was dry most of the day. So we look back on a nice weekend
