I love overhearing bits and pieces of strangers' conversations. Some shocking, some hilarious, all entertaining.
Mother and daughter in the fitting room at Nordstrom:
"I look at you, Bianca, and I see that you don't give a hoot about anybody but yourself. I really don't know how you are my daughter."
Young boy, age approx. 11, to his father:
"Dad, give Mom a hug; she smells good."
Last year, Barnes and Noble; the manager speaking to a new employee about her job:
"Just realize that for the first couple of weeks, you're going to be nothing but in the way of everyone else. That's just how it is."
