Me and my wife went to Taman Negara, we stayed at the Rainforest Resort just across the river. You can walk to the `Floating Restaurants' on the Tembeling River for your food, night and day. Food was good, roti canai and nasi lemak etc.
We went for canopy walk, rapid shooting..as they called it and visit the orang asli settlement near the river bank. I went to Bukit Terisek for a 2km uphill climbing adventure and of course 2km walking down and 1 km more to reach the TN headquarters. Well I saw a mountain range, thought to be Gunung Tahan. On the way down, took the canopy walk...a really swaying experience but wonderful to have sort of `bird eye view' down below.
Nowadays we can travel by car direct to Taman Negara, no need to take the long boat ride from Kuala Tembeling unless you want to experience the 3 hour boat ride.
