Recipe part 2
Today is Labor Day. I have long weekend. Yesterday I cooked rendang. Cooking rendang is not that easy when you dont have enough ingredients. You need basically serai,halia,daun kunyit,daun limau purut,bawang merah,bawang putih,asam gelugoq and rempah ratus such as jintan manis and putih,bunga lawang etc.
The one I bold are hard to find in Asia Markt, referring to a shop that sell Asian foods and beverages. However normal kunyit and bawang besar can be substituted. No problems at all. What you need is to add more bawang putih to cover the taste that had being lefted by the bawang merah and to replace the asam gelugoq with air asam jawa or add more tomato sauce.(*bawang besar dont have that tears on the eye umph!).

I forget to snap the photos of rendang.

Minyak Zaitun
Jintan Manis dan Putih
Garam dan kunyit
-->gaulkan semua bahan dan peram dalam peti ais selama sejam
--->Masukkan dalam microwave high power and heat for 15 minits. terbalikkan ayam and heat more until cook around 20 minits.
