London (and Washington) trip - April 1st 2006 to April 11th 2006
We were in London for 10 days. Flew as a family of three, parted ways at Heathrow. Zarif and I stayed in London while Izmet continued his journey to Washington for 5 days. All in all, it was a good holiday (though possibly the one with the least number of photos taken!).
Thanks to his obsession with all things trains and Thomas and Friends specifically, this time round, we were able to take the tube without Zarif screaming away. Last trip there (Dec '04), he was absolutely petrified of the underground. How things have changed since. Bus and tube fares have gone up incredibly. And there's now this fancy lil thing called the Oyster as your travel pass. New shops, old shops getting facelifts... but some things will remain just the way I remember them. The crowd, the kebabs, the pizza (fiorentina for me), and the ever erratic weather.
But I still and will always love London for all that it is!
